Abbot provides a broad range of masonry construction services to public, institutional, and commercial clients, including condominiums, property management entities and private residences. The firm also acts as a general contractor for a variety of masonry building construction projects.

Our Small Projects Division specializes in structures ranging from one to three stories to buildings up to 60 feet in height. Service areas include condominiums, apartments, small office buildings, and private residences. The Division works primarily with building owners, condominium associations, and property managers.

Our Large Projects Division specializes in construction, renovation, and preservation projects in buildings higher than 60 feet. Service areas include commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. The Division works primarily with building owners, management companies, as well as building envelope consultants, architects, and engineers.

No matter the size of the building, Abbot is dedicated to providing solutions to building deficiency problems related to climate conditions (freeze/thaw cycles) and other weather exposure issues, sealant failures, and normal “wear and tear” deficiencies that must be addressed to properly maintain an aging structure.

Principals

Angelo M. Diodati, President, brings 40 years of construction industry experience to the firm. He assumes day-to-day responsibility in the areas of estimating, contract work, and client negotiations.

Michael E. Norman, Vice President, maintains the efficiency of the firm's project operations, including construction scheduling and production. In addition, he is responsible for quality assurance and the integrity of craftsmanship and materials provided for each project.

Mr. Diodati and Mr. Norman represent the second generation of hands-on leadership for the firm. Since both are descendants of the founding principals, they take pride in this family-oriented management approach. The firm is currently in the process of transitioning its leadership to the third generation.
